On the day of the balloon flight
Approximately 5 hours before your appointment for the balloon flight (see information sheet or start times), a friendly Holly Ballon employee will contact you by telephone and let you know whether the balloon flight can take place. If the weather cooperates and the balloon ride takes place, please read the information sheet for balloon rides carefully and check where your meeting point is and how to get there. Pack a thin jacket if necessary and look forward to a very special experience.
Procedure of a balloon flight
Ballooning is one of the most impressive and uniquely beautiful experiences.
Go on a balloon ride! Climb aboard and take off gently! Float high above lush meadows, forests, glistening lakes, deep gorges, idyllic farms and magnificent mountain scenery in a hot-air balloon. A journey with an unknown destination. Driven only by the wind, we float silently up and away on our balloon ride. Ballooning means leaving your everyday worries behind for a while. Fascinating, this silence high above the ground.
With Holly Ballon, you have the choice of 26 different launch sites between Lake Constance and Lake Geneva for balloon flights in Switzerland. You are an important member of the balloon team right from the start. Together we unpack the balloon envelope and get the hot-air balloon ready for take-off. We float silently on our balloon flight at 2,000 to 3,000 m to enjoy the magnificent view of the Alps. The low flight is also an unforgettable experience, as you fly in the balloon over forests, lakes and villages, accompanied by people waving joyfully. As the crowning finale to the balloon flight, after the balloon envelope has been repacked together, you will experience the traditional champagne christening by your balloon flight pilot. You will receive the christening certificate as an unforgettable memento. You will be transported back to the balloon launch site in our vehicle.
